Advice and information
When relationships begin to break down, and before taking decisions about your future, it is important for you to know your rights and the choices you have.
There are many books and leaflets available. You may find these in your local library, advice service or community centre or be able to download them from their website. Many organisations run telephone helplines providing confidential advice. If you are seeking legal advice, ask whether the adviser is legally qualified.
